IT'S ALL IN THE COMMUNICATION - A SUCCESS STORY

A young employee worked on an assembly line. The line had a problem. The pneumatic guns didn't work right so the workers on the line had to put in screws manually. One day this young employee had the idea that the solution to get the line working as designed would be to replace the compressors for the guns. A new one cost $50,000. He mentioned this to others but nothing happened.

The following week the young worker was in the Speaking for Success course. He took that incident and created a persuasive presentation. Using what he was learning he restructured the information and came up with a dollar figure of what this problem was costing the company every single hour during a three-shift day.

Also in the course was a manager for another area. He heard the presentation and immediately made a phone call. Problem solved. It was all in the presentation - how to present information and get action.
